# Wiacom

> Wiacom (wiacom.ai) is a vendor-agnostic WiFi identity, guest engagement, analytics, and operational intelligence SaaS platform, operational since 2014. It runs as a software layer on top of existing WiFi infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Ruckus, UniFi, MikroTik, and others) — no hardware replacement required.

Wiacom helps hospitality, retail, airports, and public venue operators turn their existing WiFi into a first-party data and guest engagement engine. All collected data is owned by the customer, not by Wiacom.

## Core capabilities

- **Captive portal (WiFi portal)**: Branded guest WiFi registration with phone, email, or social login. GDPR and UK GDPR compliant. Customisable per venue. Supports KYC, marketing consent, vouchers, and session limits.
- **Wiacom Connect**: Identifies returning users across locations without relying on MAC addresses, which are randomised by iOS 14+ and Android 10+. Uses tokenised device identity for seamless returning-guest recognition.
- **Guest Connect**: Standalone registration via URL or QR code, independent of the WiFi login flow. Supports shared passwords and iPSK (unique passphrase per guest).
- **WiFi Pass (iPSK/MPSK)**: Each registered guest receives a unique personal WiFi passphrase. Eliminates shared passwords and meets PCI DSS v4.0 per-device credential requirements.
- **Horizon**: Personal named SSID per hotel guest for the duration of their stay. Provisioned at check-in via PMS integration, revoked at check-out.
- **Passpoint Connect**: Hotspot 2.0 seamless WiFi authentication. Works with any compatible AP via standard configuration and Wiacom RADIUS.
- **Key Access**: WPA2 PSK shared passphrase delivery with email delivery and access tracking.
- **Cloud CDP**: First-party customer data platform. Captures verified contact information, behavioural patterns, and visit data. Integrates with dotdigital, Klaviyo, Placewise, and other CRM/CDP platforms via API.
- **Reporting & Analytics**: Visitor flow, dwell time, return rate, device distribution, portal funnel, and email analytics. Available as Marketing, IT, and Full report variants with PDF export.
- **AdService**: Vendor-agnostic ad delivery layer that integrates with any captive portal via JavaScript snippet, iframe, redirect URL, or REST API — no portal replacement required. Works on MikroTik, Cisco, Ruckus, Cambium, Ubiquiti, BNG/RADIUS and any other infrastructure. Supports image, HTML, and video creatives (hosted, external, Vimeo, Wistia). Smart delivery engine with priority and weighted rotation, frequency capping, device tracking (MAC, IP, cookie, compound), location targeting, schedule and quota limits. Built for CNA browser constraints: handles MAC randomisation, cookieless CNA mini-browser sessions, and HTTP-only environments. Real-time reporting: impressions, CTR, fill rate, video completion, device analytics, location map. For WiFi operators, venue owners, and advertisers/agencies.
- **Portal Ad Flow Rules**: Native Wiacom feature that injects full-screen ad interstitials at configurable points in the captive portal journey — eight placement options including first redirect, before/after registration, and before authorisation. Each rule independently configured with ad URL, countdown timer, auto-redirect, skip option, and full branding. Distinct from AdService: Ad Flow Rules is for Wiacom portal users; AdService works on any captive portal.
- **PMS Integration**: Wiacom integrates with over 100 property management systems to automate guest WiFi provisioning at check-in and revocation at check-out. Native integration with Oracle OPERA Cloud (OHIP) is live in production. Supported systems include Oracle OPERA Cloud, Oracle OPERA On-Premises, Mews, Cloudbeds, Protel, Shiji, Guestline Rezlynx, Infor HMS, Apaleo, StayNTouch, Maestro, Agilysys, Sabre SynXis, and roomMaster.
- **MCP server**: Wiacom exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling AI agents, copilots, and automation platforms to query guest presence, registration data, zone analytics, and trigger access management actions. Particularly relevant for retail operators building AI-assisted operations and marketing stacks.
- **SDK (iOS / Android)**: Native mobile SDK for embedding WiFi onboarding, credential delivery, and Horizon pre-arrival provisioning inside a hotel booking app, loyalty app, retail app, or property management app — without redirecting users to a Wiacom-hosted page.
- **Wiacom User Portal (WUP)**: Self-service portal for guests to manage their personal data, GDPR rights, and communication preferences.
- **Messaging services (default channels)**: Wiacom provides managed transactional email, SMS, RCS, and WhatsApp delivery as built-in platform channels — no third-party messaging account required. Covers registration confirmation, email verification, OTP/PIN for phone sign-up, WiFi credential delivery, campaign communications, and re-engagement. Global SMS coverage across major markets. Customer-provided delivery services (Twilio, SendGrid, custom) are also supported alongside or instead of default channels.
- **Wiacom Multi-Tenant Platform (WMT)**: Multi-account management for MSPs and large partners managing multiple venues.
- **Ops Intelligence**: AI-assisted operational insights (beta).
- **Wiacom Agent**: A managed infrastructure appliance (VM, cloud VM, or bare-metal image) that bridges the Wiacom cloud platform with on-premises WiFi infrastructure. Deployed inside the customer environment — no inbound ports required. Enables full platform capability on vendors that only expose local management APIs. Runs on VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC, or industrial gateways. Requires only outbound HTTPS to Wiacom and local access to the AP or controller management interface.
- **Captive portal design**: Fully custom-designed portals — not templates. Supports full-screen immersive layouts, brand-aligned colour schemes, video and image backgrounds, welcome/portal/data-collection/thank-you/welcome-back screen flows, KYC data collection, special offers, maps, and content sections.
